Many thanks – your timing was great! I had a phonecall today from my 11 year old granddaughter who lives north of Auckland, asking for information about our family history for a homework assignment! Will write soon.
Let’s know if you (or your granddaughter!) need any more information
Hello everyone, I’m Shirley.
We were over in the U.K. in in September 2002. Visited Whitstable found great grandad’s Bakery which is now a coffee shop. We have photos of all this before the bakery became a coffee shop. Gave a good photo of the old bakery to the historic society in Witstable they were really pleased to get it as they had no idea of it’s history.
I would love to come over again and have morning tea in great grandads old building— my husband is not so keen —he isn’t into this history stuff. Anyway if I remember or find anything , I’ll get in touch and if any of you wish to visit N.Z. your most welcome to stay with us—we have a small farm 1-2 hours north of Wellington.
Please keep in touch and if I find anything else historic will let you know.
Shirley – would love to see any photos particularly ones that are different to those in the site photo album
You sent this a bit too late!! 😀 I’ve been in Australia these last six weeks, staying in Bilgola, the Northern Beaches, near Sydney. Having said that there has been precious little free time as the whole reason for being here was because Lisa, our daughter, had her second baby and already has a two and a half year old, so I have been helping out in any way I can. However IS there anyone in this part of Australia? I leave here Tuesday…..
Best wishes to all,
Jan – 25 July 2015
Sorry Janet, we have no-one in NSW currently. We have one subscriber in the state of Victoria plus a “missing person” in Western Australia. Most of the subcribers in that part of the world are all in New Zealand.
Welcome to the website for the descendants and friends of Peter Fink from Kiedrich in Germany and Elizabeth Wash from Colchester in Essex in England.
With good fortune, and careful husbandry the site will grow and gather momentum thus enabling all descendants of Peter & Elizabeth to come together and share in the history of this amazing duo.
To make on-line comments (for the first time only) contributors will need register (complete your particulars in the User Registration in the side-bar menu). For security reasons comments will not be released for public view until they have been reviewed and released by site administrators.
