  • 26 Mar 2005 Think you'll find Barbara that the date was 3/9/2005 which in American / computer lingo is the third month, ninth day 2005. Our trans-Atlantic cousins like to be different :-)   Alan
  • 17 April 2005 Most interesting for me to know something of my ancestors - my father Conway died when I was only 8 months old; I knew his sister Muriel very well and Gladys reasonably well but nothing of antecedents. Thanks a lot. Moya.
  • 23 April 2005 Thanks Barbara for letting Auntie Iris know about this great web site. She has told mum and I have e-mailed info about myself. I'll tell Marian but what about Trevor, Derek Sally & Bob, David & Jane? their names don't appear yet as grand children of Frank Moss on intro page. Regards, Sylvia.
  • 15 May 2005 Hi, From a NZ Relation. The site is good. For my family tree I use Legacy {free on the internet} and I have the Finks back to 1670 in Germany. I will get you all on this yet as I have a few blanks to fill in. George.
  • 16 May 2005 I've been working on my Fink family Tree for years and only got so far as an outline of the family starting from Peter. I will share what I have with you all, I'm staggered by this web site. Paul Fink of Camberley.
  • 11 Feb 2006 One of the best sites i have seen . Thanks. Anon.
  • 15 Mar 2006 Hi everyone,  Its great what you find when you use Google!  I enjoyed going through the site and learning more about the wider family and its history. I'll have to get the family tree from George Fink (my uncle). Thanks for all your work.  Kevin

  • 5 Mar 2007 The site is the best and I must thank you for all the hrs you have put in to the site and it is the most pofessional. On behalf of the family I thank you. George
  • 30 May 2007 I found your site very helpful and interesting. I am trying to trace my husband's roots. We were in Germany a month ago but could not find any information. His Father's name is Mirl Fink and was born in 1917 in Pennsylvania, USA. His grandfather's name is Jefferson Fink who with his Irish wife immigrated to America before the 1900's.We're wondering if they may be related to your ancestors. Thanks.
  • 30 May 2007 Thank you so much for your quick reply. You are right- "Fink" is not an uncommon name in Germany. We interestingly found that out during our travels to Europe. My husband and I get excited when we saw the family name in some periodicals. Over here in the US though, we have not seen a lot of "Fink"s.Not even in the phone book. We will take your suggestion as to checking with the immigration records. Thanks again and have a great day. Sincerely, Elizabeth.
  • 21 June 2007 I enjoyed looking at the Fink website - what a marvellous collection of information and photographs. If I learn any more about our ancestors in common I will pass it on to you. Best wishes Dawn.
  • 31 Jul 2007 I came across your site today - my great x 2 uncle Jabez Ackroyd married a Anna  Maria Fink in 1897 at Kingston Surrey and died 4 years later leaving her with 3 small children. I had thought she was a daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Fink as in the 1881 census they are shown with a daughter Anna M aged 13 but from looking at your site this assumption is wrong - wondered if you had across My Anna Maria Fink born about 1867. Many thanks for any comments. Ian
  • 12 Aug 2007 Many thanks for all your help - after a few hours trying various spellings out but looking for my Annie Maria's sister Margaret, a less common first name, I eventually found my Fink family spelt Frink in the 1881 census. Ian
  • 22 Aug 2007  Hello! I'm trying to contact the family and friends of Sergeant Henry William Jones, of Romford, Essex. It appears that he was the son of Ciselia Bessie (Fink) Jones. Sergeant Jones served on the crew of an R.C.A.F. Lancaster with my uncle, Flying Officer Richard Knut Ourom. They died in a crash while on a training flight on April 28th, 1945, near Stoke Rochford, England. (South of Grantham.) In 2006, Stoke Rochford established a memorial to the crew, and held a service in their memory. We are trying to contact the other six families, so they know, and can visit. Thank you for any help, and please feel free to forward this as you wish. #
